Biometric systems — APFIS/ABIS
Operation, maintenance and evolution of the federal biometric identification system (APFIS/ABIS). Need for a reliable test environment to validate changes without impacting production.
Design and implementation of a virtualised test environment replicating production (Linux, Oracle, MySQL). Full-stack development of internal applications (PHP/CodeIgniter, JavaScript). Large-scale data migrations between Oracle and MySQL databases. Technical integration and database management.
Monitoring & Platform administration
No visibility on server status for a restricted file platform of the Commission, split across two separate networks. Day-to-day infrastructure administration.
Development of a custom PowerShell monitoring tool with real-time dashboard and WinAudit reports. Active Directory administration, MySQL databases, Stormshield firewall. Network infrastructure study. Hyper-V and VMware VM management.
Infrastructure & Federal monitoring
Server migration from legacy OpenStack infrastructure to VMAAS 2. Continuous monitoring of federal infrastructure (Defence, eHealth, Famiwal) with on-call constraints.
DNS migration and server onboarding via Cloudforms + Ansible. Monitoring with Foglight (upgrades and maintenance via Ansible), Nagios and Alerta. Development of a Flask/Python web interface for host availability and metrics. Operational management via ServiceNow (incidents, problems, changes). Stress test and diagnostic scripts.
